Sports Multimedia Journalist & Play-By-Play Announcer
Robert C. Leaño
About Me
My name is Robert Leano. I am a multimedia sports journalist from San Jose, California. I was a born and raised Bay Area sports fan and always enjoyed looking at stories that extended beyond the game.
My journey into my sports broadcasting career began in my first year in high school, when I joined the student radio station as a sports show host. I eventually grew on to play-by-play broadcasting for the school's Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Hockey teams.
That would help me transition into student media at the University of Arizona, where I would eventually become the General Manager and sports play-by-play announcer for KAMP Radio. I've learned a lot about the game since I began my journey, and hope to apply the skills I've learned to a career in sports.
